Lomong Runs Meet Record 3:53.86 in Raleigh By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor Lopez Lomong, who made a career resurgence in June when he won the USATF Outdoor 10,000 meters in Des Moines, showed that he hasn't lost his wheels. Lomong led 13 guys under four minutes at Friday night's Sir Walter Miler in Raleigh, N.C., running 3:53.86. Johnny Gregorek and Sam Prakel, wearing his adidas kit for the first time, were second and third. For Lomong, the event served as a tune up for next week's NACAC Championships in Toronto, Canada. Charlene Lipsey outdueled Sara Vaughn to win a very tight race on the women's side, 4:27.28 to 4:27.31. Cory McGee was third. More news |
